SPARK From Home is a 36-hour virtual hackathon hosted by SPARK, a youth led non-profit organization focused on egnaging middle and high school students in STEAM education. SPARK From Home will take place from August 8-10 and expose students to workshops, seminars, networking opportunities, and $25k+ worth of prizes as well. The event will also support several key global issues right now including the #BlackLivesMatter Movement, the Yemen Crisis, COVID Crisis, and Youth Mental Health.

Did they properly identify a problem, explain the importance of the problem, and research the problem? What was the quality level of their research? Was it enough research to base their design off of? Is there anything missing from their research? -
Hack - Solution
Was the solution a feasible one? Did they properly explain how the solution would fix the problem? Is it a partial solution to the problem or a complete solution? Did they look at other possible solutions? What was the complexity of their solution? -
Hack - Technology Application
Did they use a form of technology to deliver their idea (code, website, social media promotion)? Were the uses of technology efficient and effective? Was it relevant? How impressive was it? -
Pitch - Business Aspect
Did they look at their competitors? What is their value proposition? How will they distribute their product or service to customers? What will their cost and profit look like? What are the key resources and partners they they are looking into? -
Pitch - Overall Video
Were the participants confident? How formal was the presentation? Did every team member speak? Was the team prepared? Was the team charismatic?
